He also served as Unit Coordinator for a 19 bed Adolescent Sex Offenders program. During those years working in the hospitals he was certified as an Instructor/Trainer for Comprehensive Crisis Management, and co-led crisis intervention training of nearly 110 staff members within the facility. Collectively over those years he has participated in over 400 crisis situations involving aggressive, dangerous, and often mentally ill individuals. Additionally, Mr. King was responsible for the creation of two large scale behavioral intervention treatment models which were implemented for use with both Chemically Dependant and Dually Diagnosed patients within the residential treatment unit. Mr. King has had numerous public speaking events working with the Northern Virginia Public School system regarding Substance Abuse and Drug Awareness. He also spoke as a guest member of a panel on Substance Abuse and Rehabilitation to the former Drug Czar of the United States, General Barry McCaffrey, and Virginia State Congressman Frank Wolf.
