CCG course developers maintain their working knowledge of what works best when dealing with crisis situations.
We follow the headlines, policy changes, and newsmakers in workplace violence, child safety incidents, school security, mental health, and corporate security. By doing so, we ensure that our curriculum stays focused on the most progressive and effective methods to handle crisis situations. Along the way, your staff is taught ways to work together during emergencies, rather then work against one another. *New CMS Guidelines Effective for 2008* 42 CFR 482: Medicare and Medicaid Programs; Hospital Conditions of Participation and Patient Rights Federal Department of Health and Human Services Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services There have been recent regulations passed relating to the use of restraint and seclusion in all Medicare and Medicaid participating hospitals. These new regulations came into effect on January 8, 2008 detailing specific training requirements which include demonstrated competency, periodic refresher training, use of verbal intervention skills, understanding positional asphyxia and related duress while performing crisis intervention. We are happy to say that our training curriculum is in alignment with these regulations. We are pleased that there is renewed attention in the industry geared towards the regulation of training curriculums ensuring that companies similar in nature to ours, are mandated to keeping the highest standards possible.
