Most questions are answered here; feel free to call us if you don’t see yours.

We know that deciding on a training vendor can be frustrating.  We’re not afraid of difficult questions, and won’t side step them when asked.  You may call us, email us, or send us an old fashioned letter if you prefer; we don’t mind—just ask.

Are your physical techniques based upon “pain compliance”, “joint manipulation”, “hyperextension of limbs” “take-downs” or other similar methods?
Read the answer >
No. Imagine physical intervention techniques that are safe, non-invasive, non-harmful, easy to learn, and even easier to apply. Imagine individuals in crisis who are not put off balance, or placed in any awkward, vulnerable, traumatic, or uncomfortable position.   Imagine techniques that allow for immediate, calm, and effective control of an individual in crisis, and one once the intervener places hands on, there is no change in hand placement going from least restrictive to more restrictive therapeutic holds, no matter how aggressive the individual attempts to be. Imagine staff members with limited physical abilities still being able to participate in performing the techniques. Finally, imagine techniques which allow for the aggressive individual to be escorted to another location easily, should that be immediately necessary. Sound too good to be true? It isn't. Simple? Yes.  Effective? Absolutely.  It is exactly what your facility needs. We not only think so, but we guarantee the results.
Our facility has a hands-off policy when it comes to violence, how would we benefit from CCG training?
Read the answer >
CCG believes that all crisis situations have a 99% chance of being resolved through verbal intervention techniques. Due to this fact, the Beginner Course does not teach any hands-on, or physical techniques. After our participants learn ways to prevent crisis, they are able to provide alternative solutions for crisis that allow time for additional personnel to arrive. This further lessens liability for facilities with a “hands-off” policy. For more information on this course please click here >
Does CCG training comply with Federal and State guidelines as well as Accreditation standards for intervention training programs?

Do the CCG techniques require that acting out individuals be taken to the ground?
Read the answer >
No--Our techniques do not require that individuals be placed on the ground. Many other vendors available choose to take individuals to the ground. In our opinion, take-downs or supine and prone restraint positions should be avoided at all costs whenever possible as they have been shown to cause severe injury, and even death from positional asphyxia.
Just how "new" are CCG's techniques? How do we know CCG techniques are truly different, and better than the other options available?
Read the answer >
The difference truly begins with our unique intervention skills techniques that are taught to each and every student. These techniques have been formulated by years of research and development, as well as actual use during crisis. Only through much trial and error were these lessons learned. Much of our verbal program was perfected while working on the front lines, in actual crisis situations. This is what we like to say is the "CCG Difference". The reality is that many alternative vendors created curriculums through using what would be considered "book knowledge" only. These developers of competitor vendors forgot to experiment and actually try to use their techniques themselves, in truly life-like, realistic situations. They failed to realize how ineffective, unsafe, and awkward their techniques were prior to teaching them to others. We are more than happy to conduct a presentation and show you the "CCG Difference". Your time is valuable, we won't waste it. We feel confident that you will be convinced that CCG verbal and physical techniques are the safest, and most effective in the industry. Don't just take our word for it, read what some of our past students have had to say Here (link to testimonials), or ask us for reference contact information, and we will gladly provide it to you.
How do CCG training courses compare in cost to other programs?
Read the answer >
Not only are CCG's costs competitive, but CCG additionally offers discount rates to groups, and also has a referral bonus program. These benefits are in addition to the satisfaction guarantee. With CCG, you are charged only for the training that is tailored to your facility. You have many choices of training programs to best suit your needs. With CCG you are not paying the inflated charges for having the "brand name" that comes with some of the so-called leaders in the industry. We only charge for what students receive; new, effective, non-harmful crisis intervention training that far surpasses any other training in the industry.
Is CCG training appropriate for individuals with physical limitations, or lowered cognitive abilities?
Read the answer >
Taking into account the limitations of many various psychiatric illnesses, behavioral disorders, verbal or physical abilities, the CCG techniques were designed to apply to crisis situations. Whether the individual has certain limitations or not, may not always determine their level of potential violence or danger. In order to deal with those individuals, staff members need to have a complete understanding of crisis prevention and an understanding of challenging behavior. All CCG courses address these topics and make every attempt to educate students on the uniqueness of every crisis situation and characteristics of the individuals they may encounter.
Does CCG courses have competency based testing?
Read the answer >
Yes - In compliance with the applicable laws and guidelines, all CCG participants will be tested on all material and techniques covered in our training courses. If a participant is unable to pass the written or physical competencies, CCG Instructors will make every effort to help that individual to become certified. That being said, CCG does not place its name behind any individual, or facility that is unable to pass the requirements set out at the beginning of our courses. Doing so would make for an unethical and unsafe situation for all parties involved.
Is CCG available for further consultation and guidance after training a facility or individual?
Read the answer >
Yes - Absolutely. A CCG representative is only a phone call away in order to assist, or aid in any questions, or situations that may occur. In addition, we are able to provide on-site consultation services from our Master Instructors upon request.
Does CCG offer a "Train-the-Trainer" course option?
Read the answer >
Yes. We have a program that is designed to create in house trainers at your facility. This course is further detailed Here (Link to Train The Trainer). This option allows for a specific facility to have their own on-site trainers to keep costs down, and perform in house training for future and current employees. This option also allows your facility to have a current "expert" to help perform on the spot corrections, and help during crisis situations.
How long does the CCG Certification last?
Read the answer >
Certification lasts for one year in all of our courses. Refresher courses are taught at a largely discounted rate. Please call for these prices.
